Dr. Omar Ayala

MD

Dr. Ayala graduated University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Camden Cooper University Hospital as an adult psychiatrist. He then continued his education in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Drexel University College of Medicine Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship program. After years in the field, Dr. Ayala established his own practice in 2010, Ayala Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry. This is where he has been practicing full-time ever since. Dr. Ayala is also bilingual and is able to conduct his appointment in both English and Spanish.

Gilda Ayala

APN, FNP-BC, PMHNP- BC

Gilda Ayala, APN, graduated from Thomas Jefferson University Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009 and received her Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care in 2011. Gilda then continued her education at John Hopkins University, completing her Post Master’s in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In 2013, she joined Ayala Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry and has been part of the practice ever since. Gilda also was an adjunct clinical professor/instructor at Thomas Jefferson University prior to joining Ayala Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry full-time.

Frahnie Pierre

APN, PMHNP-BC

Frahnie Pierre, APN, graduated from Temple University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2003. She has 18 years of nursing experience at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where she has worked with the pediatric behavioral health population in an acute care unit and has also spent several months working at a partial hospitalization day program for children with emotional and behavioral issues. Her passion and empathy for trauma-informed care and behavioral health led her to become certified as a Crisis Prevention Institute Instructor, in which she taught numerous hospital-wide classes on verbal de-escalation and non-violent intervention strategies. She graduated from Walden University with her Masters in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She worked directly with Dr. Omar Ayala and Gilda Ayala, APN, during two of her clinical rotations and is now excited to be part of the Ayala Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry team!

Olivia Mouras

APN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Olivia Mouras graduated from LaSalle University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012. While working as a nurse on an Acute Care Unit at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, she obtained her Master’s degree from Drexel University in Primary Care as a Family Nurse Practitioner. While in her Family Nurse Practitioner program she realized the need and extraordinary lack of access to psychiatric mental health services. Then Covid became rampant and she was seeing more patients than ever suffering from trauma, anxiety and depression. This emphasized her desire to continue her education with a focus on psychiatry and integrated care. Olivia then graduated from Northern Kentucky University after obtaining her Post-Master’s Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Across the Lifespan. Olivia completed her clinical rotations under supervision from Dr. Ayala here at Ayala Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and is very excited to join the practice!

Thomas Masullo

APN, PMHNP-BC

Thomas Masullo graduated with a Bachelor's in Nursing from Rutgers University in 2012 and a Master's in Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2021 from LaSalle University. He has worked in community mental health for a decade serving the broad needs of individuals across the lifespan. In this time, Thomas has developed a passion for person centered care meeting the needs of people he works with at an individualized level recognizing each person's needs are unique. He is trained in multiple modalities of trauma therapy including Developmental Needs Meeting Strategies and EMDR. Thomas’s view on mental health recovery is "It is the person's journey, I'm here to help them walk the path."

Amanda Colli

APN, PMHNP-BC

Amanda Colli graduated from Salisbury University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015. She spent the bulk of her bedside nursing career in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit at Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience. Amanda furthered her education at Wilkes University and received her Master’s in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2023. Psychiatry and the brain has always been Amanda’s passion and she looks forward to working with you at Ayala Child, Adolescent, & Adult Psychiatry!
